Projects

Whenever a client gets in touch to solve their noise pollution issues, we at Antimo take a very systematic approach. Beginning with a site analysis and sound mapping, our engineers get to the root of the issue and set about preparing a solution for it. We undertake turn-key projects, i.e understand the problem, design a solution, execute the project and do a follow-up sound mapping and testing.

This approach helps us understand our clients and helps our clients understand what we do. We especially take into account your suggestions, comments and convenience in the design and execution phase of our projects, ensuring your peace of mind.

A few of our projects...

Kolte Patil Developers Ltd - Jai Vijay Society.

Antimo was contacted to resolve a noise issue being faced by the management of Kolte Patil Developers for a new residential project in Andheri Mumbai titled Jai Vijay. The project was placed on the Western Express Highway (WEH) and hence was susceptible to high noise from traffic. The noise observed is in the range of 100-105 db during peak traffic hours.

The best way to tackle the noise from the road-side was to erect noise barriers on the boundary wall between the residents and Highway, and cut off the direct line of sight between source and receiver. We identified a stretch of 112 m where the barriers would come up which would give us the best effect . After erection we had reduced the Noise level upto 60-65 dBA which is the Ambient Noise level for the Residential Area.

Bisleri International P. LTD. Phase 1

The Utility Terrace had multiple machines such as chillers, blowers, fans etc. which were emitting noise at around 90-95 dBA. This was contributing to the overall noise level of the area and disturbing the residents opposite the factory premises.

As a solution for that project we have enclosed the Utility Terrace Area from 3 Sides by Acoustic Noise Barrier and Louvers to decrease the Noise Level. After installation we have reduced the noise from 90-95 dBA to 60-65 dBA, which was well in line with ambient noise level in the area.

Bisleri International P. LTD. Phase 2

Cooling Tower Was placed on 3rd floor was creating noise of Around 100-105 dBA which was creating disturbance for residents on the 3-5th Floor of the residential building opposite side of the Bisleri Plant.

so we suggested the Acoustic Noise Barrier for it. as These Barriers covers all three open sides of the cooling tower and extend 1m beyond height of cooling tower to drop down the Noise level up to 70-75 dBA .

Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd (Dahej.)

The factory floor has multiple blowers Making noise in the range of 90-94 dB(A). After doing a site inspection and noise mapping of the present Cabin, we decided to replace the cabin with our acoustic paneled cabin.

The employees currently working in the cabin desired a few changes in the size and layout of the windows and the same were accommodated in the new Design After installation of Acoustic cabin the noise level decreased from 90-94 dB(A) to 60-65 db(A).

Jindal Steel Works, Tornagallu.

The client wanted to cut down the noise emitted by the Blowers in their Lime Calcination Plant. After doing a sound mapping and testing of the blower rooms, we suggested Acoustic Enclosures for the blowers to cut down the sound. Pre-enclosure noise levels were at 104-109 db and we were successful in bringing them down to 85 db. Each enclosure was custom designed and provisions were made for easy maintenance- such as hinged louver vents for easy replacement of suction filters, glass windows to observe oil-levels and couplers, acoustic doors on all sides for easy access and a comprehensive exhaust system to ensure heat dissipation.  We completed 15 enclosures with a further order of 43 enclosures

Saint-Gobain Sekurit India Ltd, Chakan Plant.

The Saint Gobain Chakan Plant had 2 Machine making High Noise PPL-1 Washing Machine (outer) & Centrifugal Fan. Average Noise level of Washing Machine before Acoustic Enclosure as Average Noise level :87 dBA. Ambient Noise Level :80.1 dBA Noise Level after Acoustic Enclosures: There is a sharp Decline in the Noise level from 87 dBA to 79.2 dBA.

The Centrifugal Fan which was placed upper level from the ground is making an Average Noise level before Acoustic Enclosure:88.85 dBA Ambient Noise Level :79.91 dBA Average Noise Level after Acoustic Enclosures :78.82 dBA .As the per our observation there is a sharp Decrease in the noise level the Machine from 89 dBA to 60- 65 dBA

Mahanagar Gas (New Bombay)

Antimo was contracted to resolve noise emitting from CNG Compressor located at New Bombay Auto Petrol Pump, Koperkhairane .The compressor was placed at a distance of 5.3 m from the residential building behind the Petrol Pump.Noise measure by us was in the range of 88-92 db.

After doing a site inspection, we suggested creating a barrier covering the back & the left hand side of the CNG Compressor. This would effectively cut down the noise disturbing the residents. . This would be enough to keep the neighboring buildings in the shadow zone of the noise source

Hindalco Group (Birla Copper),Dahej Gujarat.

Antimo Acoustical Enclosures are customized type enclosures designed to reduce the noise emitted from any type of machine . The other compressors on the shop floor had acoustic enclosures apart from the IR compressors. These were emitting noise in the range of 95 -103 db. They were placed on the shop floor and were running throughout the shifts causing irritation and disturbance to the employees located in the office nearby. The best way to Reduce the noise from these machines is to construct an acoustic enclosure for the two compressors.Working closely with the operators and maintenance staff we studied the working of the machine and designed the enclosure in such a way that control panels and maintenance activities could be conducted without hindrance.

Finolex Industries, Ratnagiri.

The plant has multiple Aerzner Blowers which were emitting sound @ 110 db. This noise coming from the blower room was extremely loud and hazardous for any personnel working in the room or around it.

Antimo was contracted by the company to reduce this noise to 85 db. After completing our Noise mapping and survey we were able to identify multiple sources of noise such as Blower, Moisture separator and discharge piping. We designed an Acoustic Enclosure for the blower accommodating requests such as doors for easy replacement of V-belts, access windows for observation of oil levels and a comprehensive exhaust system. The client was satisfied and happy with our work and turn around time, placing repeat orders for their other blowers.

Iskcon Temple Juhu

We were contacted to resolve a noise issue from 3 Chillers installed on the rooftop of Iskcon Temple in Juhu, Mumbai. Having 3 Chillers on the roof-top was creating a lot of noise for the residents around
the temple. Noise measured by us was in the range of 90-95 db. This was brought in check with the help of Antimo Noise Barriers to around 65 db, which greatly alleviated the residents. Our Noise Barriers are made from a proprietary insulation infill which not only absorbs the noise but also blocks it, this combination helps in reducing sound levels by 25-30 db.

Clover Hills Bungalow, Pune

Antimo was contacted to resolve a noise issue being faced by the residents of this bungalow parallel to NIBM Road, from the traffic on the main road outside their boundary wall. Even with low traffic noise emitted by the vehicles, it was in the range of 80‐90 db.
The best way to tackle the noise from the road‐side was to erect noise barriers on the boundary wall around the bungalow and cut of the direct line of sight between source and receiver. We identified a stretch of 40m where the barriers would come up which would give us the best effect. After the barriers were erected, the noise levels have dropped by 15‐20 db greatly alleviating the residents. The residents do no notice the general traffic noise anymore, and are greatly relieved.

Daramic Battery Separators P. Ltd. - Dahej, Gujarat.

Antimo was contacted to reduce the noise emitted by Grinder Machines at Daramic Battery Separators P. Ltd., Dahej. The company was facing a serious issue as there were 3 grinder machines placed close by emitting sound at 107.5 db. They were placed on the shop floor and were running throughout the shifts causing irritation and disturbance to the nearby personnel. Another Grinder machine was placed at a distance but due to the larger capacity was also emitting sound at 103.5 db.

The best way to tackle the noise from these machines was to construct an acoustic enclosure for the four machines. As three of them were close by we designed a single enclosure for 3 M/c’s and another for the single machine. Working closely with the operators and other production staff we studied the working of the machine and designed the enclosure in such a way that even people operating the grinders could do so without being subject to the high noise.

Average Noise Level after Acoustic Enclosures: 82 db(A). The dB(A) drop ranges from 20 – 25 db for both enclosures. This result is within limits of Noise reduction committed by us. The factory floor noise is greatly alleviated and personnel on the floor can immediately perceive a difference in their working environment.

Foundation for Vital Healing - Andheri, Mumbai.

Antimo was contacted by The Foundation for Vital Healing to make a custom sound-booth for
use as a translator’s cabin. The concept being that the translator sitting inside the booth would
have a view of the speaker and hear only the speaker’s voice coming over the head-phones. All
other external sound was to be blocked so that he can peacefully translate the words into a
foreign language. Due to the space constraint in the auditorium we manufactured the cabin into
individual panels which were then assembled on site.
The cabin was designed for one person with internal desk, electrical points and LED lights.
Further we also provided the client with super-silent ventilation system with ducting to make
sure the fan noise would not disturb the recording and the translator. The size of the cabin is
5’ x 5’ x 7’ with one entry door, two windows and complete wooden paneling inside.

Nyati Group

We were came into contact by Nyati Group to help solve problems faced by their residents from the outdoor event space at Corinthian Resorts and Hotels. The resort hosts multiple weddings and live music events in their outdoor lawn space. Noise emitted during events due to music from professional speakers, gathering of 500-800 people was in the range of 88-90 db.

After doing a site inspection, we suggested installing a noise barrier for the entire length of the outdoor space between the source and receiver. Further since the noise levels were higher at the source of the sound near the stage, we suggested installing double noise barriers for a length of 40’ on both sides of the stage as well. This would effectively cut down the noise disturbing the residents. Barrier height was fixed at 6 m from the ground to cut down any reverberation as well. This would had Reduced Noise level of Area by 30 db.
